Lotus Temple and India Gate Visit

posted May 3, 2014, 7:35 AM by Amiya Behera
Last week-end, I and few of my colleagues visited Lotus temple. We boarded Delhi Metro from Rajib Chawk and went to Kalkaji Temple station. From the metro station, we went to Lotus temple by walk. As the name suggests the building is like a lotus, but not like a typical temple, where we worship the idol of GOD. The temple is maintained by Bahai religion people and people of any religion can go there and pray. Apart from the temple, it is surrounded by a beautiful garden.

After visiting the temple, we board the metro again and got down at Central Secretariat. For the first time I was on the Rajpath, that I used to see on TV. We saw the Rastrapati Bhaban from outside the gate and went to India Gate by auto rickshaw.

On the next day, I also visited Akshara Dham Temple in Delhi. Apart from the security huddles, the place is really wonderful. The construction of the temple is so good that, it feels like being in a palace. The temple is also on the vicinity of Delhi metro route. Hence, easily accessible to all commuters. It also has paid services, like exhibition halls, boat ride etc.
